Tatyana is a visual artist focusing on oil painting, murals, and multimedia installation. Her work centers the experiences of Black folks, women, and queer folks. Site and location are crucial aspects of her work, as she considers how race and gender affects a person’s ability to navigate certain environments. Here, social and community engagement are also vital in the process of her work.

Each project that Tatyana creates engages with groups and individuals to examine societal realities and violences. The intention is then to create work that reflects these realities in order to shift culture for the safety and betterment of people in historically oppressed groups.
