The Roots Mural: Designed and produced by myself, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, with Amber Art & Design.
Commissioned by The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, The Roots mural is a large scale mural that honors the legendary hip-hop band, The Roots. Completed in Summer 2013, this project was a huge undertaking for me.
The mural is located on South St in Philadelphia and was a year and half in the making. The original location fell through mid-way through the designing process, putting the project on hold until a new location was secured.
The final work turned out great, and we were extremely happy with it.
Thanks to The Roots, The City of Philadelphia, The Mural Arts Program, and all of the assistants and volunteers that helped make this mural happen.
