I was commissioned by BET to paint 6 portraits of each celebrant at the 2016 Black Girls Rock! Awards. They were Gladys Knight, Rihanna, Danai Gurira, Amandla Stenberg, Shonda Rhimes, and the founders of Black Lives Matter (Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, Opal Tometi).
